Common questions about bringing baby goats to your event.
How much space do the goats need?
A small, safe setup area is usually enough for most events. Grass areas, enclosed yards, fenced spaces, church lawns, school fields, shaded patios, and similar spaces work best. We can help review your location before confirming the booking.
How many goats come with each package?
The Small Event Package includes 1 baby goat. The Community Event Package includes 3 baby goats when available. Larger or custom events may include additional goats depending on season, weather, and animal availability.
Is staff required?
Staff support is optional for smaller private events but strongly recommended for schools, churches, public events, care centers, and larger gatherings. Professional staff support is available for an additional $125 and helps with setup guidance, guest interaction, and animal supervision.
Can children pet and interact with the goats?
Yes. Guests can usually pet, observe, and take photos with the goats during supervised interaction times. We encourage gentle, calm interactions to keep the experience safe and enjoyable for both guests and animals.
Can the goats come indoors?
Some indoor or semi-indoor events may be possible with proper flooring protection, safe entry access, and approved setup conditions. Outdoor events are generally preferred for animal comfort and easier setup.
Do you travel outside Salt Lake City?
Yes. We may travel outside the Salt Lake area depending on scheduling and distance. Travel fees may apply for longer distances, larger events, or locations requiring extended setup time.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Animal safety is extremely important to us. In cases of severe heat, storms, heavy rain, unsafe wind, or dangerous winter weather, we may need to adjust, reschedule, shorten, or cancel the event for the health and safety of the goats and guests.
How long do the goats stay at the event?
Event duration depends on the package selected, event size, weather, and goat comfort levels. Most standard events range from 1–3 hours, with custom options available for larger gatherings and festivals.
Can we feed the goats?
Only approved treats or feed provided by our team may be offered to the goats. This helps protect animal health and prevents unsafe foods from being given during the event.
What types of events work best?
Baby goat experiences are especially popular for birthdays, school visits, churches, community festivals, family gatherings, care centers, company events, educational programs, and nonprofit fundraisers.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during spring and summer seasons when baby goat events are in high demand. Some weekends and holidays may fill quickly.
Does my booking support the farm?
Yes. Every event booking helps support refugee-led agriculture, animal care, farm operations, educational programming, and community outreach through Utah Refugee Goats.
