Abdikadir Hussein
President & Community Leader
A former refugee, community advocate, and leader of Utah Refugee Goats, Abdikadir understands firsthand the challenges of rebuilding life in a new country.
His vision is to create opportunities where refugee families can learn, work, belong, and thrive through farming, animal care, training, and community connection.
Under his leadership, the farm continues to grow refugee training programs, goat grazing services, farm tours, volunteer workdays, poultry education, and community partnerships.

Refugee Trainees
Many refugee participants arrive with agricultural knowledge from their home countries. The farm helps reconnect that experience with new skills and opportunities in Utah.
Goat Care
Trainees learn feeding, watering, fencing, animal safety, herd observation, and daily farm care.
Poultry Skills
Families learn poultry care, eggs, meat production, biosecurity, water systems, feeding, and coop maintenance.
Farm Business
Training builds confidence in small farm operations, customer service, grazing services, and long-term self-sufficiency.
Volunteers
Volunteers are the hands behind many of the farm's biggest improvements. Every hour donated helps animals, families, and the mission move forward.
Farm Workdays
Volunteers help with cleanup, fencing, repairs, chicken coop projects, hauling, planting, and outdoor service work.
Animal Care Support
Volunteers assist with feeding, watering, animal areas, supplies, and safe support around goats and poultry.
