What Volunteers Should Bring

Please wear closed-toe shoes, outdoor clothes, gloves if you have them, sun protection, and water. Farm work can include dust, animals, tools, uneven ground, mud, heat, cold, and changing conditions.

For safety, children must be supervised by an adult. Volunteers should follow staff instructions around animals, fencing, equipment, and restricted areas.

How the Estimate Works
  • Under 1 acre: $489 base.
  • 1 acre or more: $500 per acre with a $750 minimum.
  • Additional charges: only when applicable for mileage, temporary fencing, no on-site water, difficult terrain, or heavier brush.
  • Final review: staff confirm unusual hazards or specialty work before the agreement is issued.
